Lumiance respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect your personal information when you visit our website (the "Site"), contact us, or use our consulting, software, AI, video production and Microsoft cloud services (the "Services"). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

8. AI Tools and Client Content

When delivering AI, automation and video production services, we may process client-supplied content using third-party AI tools. We only do so as necessary to deliver the agreed Services, and we do not use client content to train public AI models unless you have agreed in writing. Please let us know before supplying personal information of third parties (such as staff or customers) for use in a project.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls, encryption in transit, secure hosting, and staff confidentiality obligations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us at info@lumiance.io. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and may decline access in limited circumstances permitted by law, in which case we will explain why.

If you believe we have breached the APPs or this policy, please contact us at info@lumiance.io with details. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Our Site and Services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
